These are the first pictures of Nicolas Cage’s (57) fifth wedding! Over a year ago, the Hollywood star met 26-year-old Riko Shibata in Shiga, Japan, and asked for the Japanese woman’s hand after just a few months of relationship.
As it has now been announced, the couple said yes in February in Las Vegas . Now there are more details of this very special wedding, which was a Shinto ceremony peppered with traditional Catholic elements.
Photos that mirrors are available, show the “Ghost Rider” star and his sweetheart at her wedding in a five-star resort Wynn in Las Vegas – and was probably quite expensive. Because a wedding in the wedding salon of the luxury hotel should cost up to 29,990 US dollars.
While the 57-year-old wore a suit by designer Tom Ford (59), his 31-year-old partner wore a long, white dress and a traditional silk kimono.
According to the British newspaper, Nicolas and Riko went to the altar to their favorite song “Winter Song” by the Japanese band Kiroro. At their wedding vows, the two poems by the American author Walt Whitman and haiku verses were recited. Their promise was sealed with a passionate kiss, in which Nicolas gently cupped Riko’s face in his hands.
