What was the cause of Ivana’s death?
It has been reported that Ivana died on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her New York City home. At that time, she was 73 years years old. Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, shared the news of her death on the social media platform Truth Social.
Donald issued a statement that read, “She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”
As of now, the cause of Ivana’s death has not been revealed. As per the reports, Ivana was found unconscious near a staircase in her upper east side home. She was pronounced dead on the spot.
A little bit about Ivana’s personal life
Ivana was born on February 20, 1979, in Gottwaldov, Moravia, Czechoslovakia (now Zlín, Czech Republic). She was the daughter of Miloš Zelníček and Marie Zelníčková. Her dad was an electrical engineer back in the day meanwhile her mom worked as a telephone operator.
Donald’s first wife began skiing at the young age of 4 and her father supported and encouraged her skiing abilities. Soon afterward, she developed her skiing skills, she joined the junior national ski team, which offered her opportunities to travel beyond the Soviet-era communist boundaries of what was then the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.
Ivana went to Charles University in Prague and she bagged a master’s degree in physical education in the year 1972. At that point, it was stated she was selected as an alternate on the Czechoslovak ski team during the 1972 Winter Olympics, specializing in downhill and slalom but later on in 1989, the claim was denied by Petr Pomezný, Secretary General of the Czechoslovak Olympic Committee.
There was no official record of Ivana’s involvement in the 1972 Winter Olympics. She was a Czech-American businesswoman, media personality, fashion designer, author, and model. During the 1970s the entrepreneur lived in Canada.
After a while, she migrated to the United States. She was held responsible for prime managerial positions in The Trump Organization. She donned various caps, one being the vice president of interior design, another one was CEO and president of Trump’s Castle casino resort, and the last one was manager of the Plaza Hotel.
The 73-year-old was also known for being the first wife of the former president of the United States, Donald Trump. Ivana and Donald were both well-known personalities in the New York society in the 1980s.
Ivana and Donald got married in 1977
Ivana and Donald met each other for the first time in the year 1976 when she was in New York City with a group of models. The two of them exchanged their vows on April 7, 1977, at Marble Collegiate Church. Their wedding ceremony was officiated by Norman Vincent Peale.
Throughout the course of their marriage, Donald and Ivana worked together on several projects including the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, the renovation of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City, and the construction of the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The former couple shared three children. Ivana and Donald welcomed their first child together, son Donald Jr. on December 31, 1977, and their second child, daughter Ivanka Marie joined them earthside on October 30, 1981.
Ivana gave birth to her and Donald’s third child a few years later in 1984. The pair welcomed their third child, a son into the world on January 6, 1984. They named their son Eric.

Yes, you heard it right. Ivana wrote a couple of books such as For Love Alone (1992), and Free to Love (1993). Soon afterward, she wrote a self-help book called The Best Is Yet to Come: Coping with Divorce and Enjoying Life Again (1995).
Ivana launched her own lifestyle magazine titled Ivana’s Living in Style in February of 1999. Her autobiography Raising Trump saw the light of the day in 2017.
Eric and Ivanka are mourning the loss of their mother Ivana
Eric and Ivanka Trump penned heartfelt tributes to their mom Ivana after her death. Eric took to his official Instagram handle to express his thoughts on his mother’s passing away. He posted a series of pictures of himself, his mom Ivana, dad Donald and other two siblings on the social media platform Instagram.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” he wrote alongside the slideshow of pictures.
Eric went on to say, “Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion, and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children, and ten grandchildren.”
On the other hand, Ivanka also paid a heart-touching tribute to her mother. She wrote. “Heartbroken by the passing of my mother. Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She modeled strength, tenacity and determination in her every action.”
Ivana’s daughter further added, “She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance. I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always. ❤️”
