Carmella is pregnant! The WWE superstar has announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, WWE commentator Corey Graves. Carmella made the revelation with a special post on Instagram.
The news comes just a few months after the wrestler suffered two consecutive miscarriages last year. She also had to go through treatment for an ectopic pregnancy. Carmella has said that she is trying to maintain a positive attitude now despite the harrowing experiences.
Carmella Expecting First Child with Husband Corey Graves
The 35-year-old took to Instagram to show off her baby bump in a series of maternity photoshoot pictures. “after every storm there is a rainbow ???? our little miracle is due this november and we couldn’t be more thrilled ????????.” Graves, 39, also shared the same post on his account. The couple was congratulated by their friends on social media.
Carmella then opened up about her pregnancy on Good Morning America on Monday. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion said, “It’s just all been such a whirlwind. I think because of my past, it was hard to get excited off the bat about this one, but I was cautiously optimistic.”
“I try to have a good mindset, a positive mindset this time around, and it’s working. So I’m very happy about that,” added. Carmella further talked about how her morning sickness has been ‘crazy.’
“I’ve been so tired, more tired than I’ve ever been in my life. But I’ve never been so happy to feel so awful. I’ve been great, I mean mentally. It’s kind of this weird space where I’m excited, but also just a little apprehensive because of the miscarriages. It’s unfortunate that it robs you of the true excitement that should be there,” said the pro wrestler.
Carmella Suffered Two Miscarriages Last Year
Carmella, whose real name is Leah Van Dale, previously revealed suffering two miscarriages in September and October 2022. A few days later, she also underwent treatment for ectopic pregnancy and had to step away from WWE for a while.
“Today, I was treated for an ectopic pregnancy. I never thought something like this would happen to me, especially after suffering from an early miscarriage in September. Nothing can prepare you for this news after getting a positive pregnancy test,” Carmella explained on Instagram at the time.
“I spent 12 hours in the ER on Saturday when I started experiencing some sharp pains on my left side. After several tests and ultrasounds, I was given the devastating news that this was, in fact, an abnormal pregnancy. The reason I’m sharing all of this is because in the moment it feels so isolating.”
She concluded her message by writing, “I’m not looking for sympathy, I know I’ll eventually recover from all of this mentally, physically and emotionally. For anyone dealing with ANY type of pregnancy loss, I want you to know your feelings and emotions are valid, there is NOTHING wrong with you and you are not alone. ❤️”
Congratulations to Carmella and Corey Graves as the couple gets ready to embrace parenthood. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
