Sarah Shahi was a professional NFL cheerleader
Shahi was born on January 10, 1980, to a Spanish mother and an Iranian father in Texas, USA. She was reared in the Las Colinas district and lived in a Muslim home.
She graduated from Trinity High School in Euless and afterward attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas to obtain a degree in English and theater.
Shahi pursued modeling after graduating and made appearances in magazines including Maxim, Stuff, and FHM. She discovered cheering while modeling, and despite having never had professional cheerleading instruction, she joined the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders team.
She had cameos as a cheerleader while she was a cheerleader in the romantic comedy film Dr. T and the Ladies as well as the television series City Boys. Director Robert Altman saw her aptitude and pushed her to pursue a career in acting.
