Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ widow Allison Holker asks for half of their joint estate
Yeah, you read that right. As per the documents acquired by People magazine, the entertainer and DJ’s widow, Allison Holker, has already filed the papers in a California court in order to get a hold of half of their real estate.
It has been reported by the magazine, that Holker filed a California Spousal Property Petition in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County on Monday, which is a standard procedure in situations like this.
California law states that a surviving spouse is entitled to their spouse’s half of their joint estate once they’re deceased, the living spouse has to file the petition to prove that they actually are the spouse of the person who passed away.
The media outlet has mentioned that Holker who has filed a petition is asking for a “determination of property passing to the surviving spouse” as well as “confirmation of property belonging to the surviving spouse.” The papers state that Stephen Boss died without a will.
The filing details of the property, consist of quasi-community property, that Allison wants the court to rule she will receive as Stephen’s surviving spouse. A part of the court documents read, “This includes any interest in a trade or business name of any unincorporated business or an interest in any unincorporated business that the deceased partner was operating or managing at the time of death.”
Holker is not asking the court for administration over Stephen’s estate. The filing also includes facts about the relationship of Allison and Stephen that Holker thought are enough to prove that she is his surviving spouse. The papers note that Boss and Allison tied the knot on December 10, 2013, and had a”nil” net worth.
The Step Up: All In star didn’t get any real estate property as a gift or through joint tenancy, life insurance, or any other beneficiaries after their wedding date. The court documents also shed some light on the fact that Stephen lived in California for the entire period of their marriage, and he and Allison didn’t have any written agreements between them regarding how their properties would be divided.
The documents state, “At the date of marriage decedent owned only personal effects of little value. There are no written agreements between (Allison) and (Stephen) providing for a non-pro-rata division of the aggregate value of the community property.”
As per the court filing, Allison is asking the court for her late husband Stephen’s half of Stephen Boss Productions and Goldman Sachs investment account. In addition to this, she is requesting royalties from Cast and Crew Production Services, Disney Worldwide Services, Inc., GEP Talent Services, LLC; as well as SAG/AFTRA.
