Sean Stewart Gets Married to Girlfriend Jody Weintraub
The couple was on a romantic vacation to Las Vegas to celebrate Valentine’s Day when Sean decided to go on one knee and propose to Jody. “Sean asked her while they were out to dinner at Catch. They married shortly after getting their marriage license at 10 p.m. at Little Church of the West,” a source close to the couple has revealed.
Jody will now be taking the Stewart name. The 42 year old Malibu-based producer shares a five year old son, Doc, with her ex-husband. The kid is reportedly very fond of Sean and vice versa. “They go to the beach; he reads him books, he takes him to karate class, they play Magna-Tiles. They’re cute together!,” said the source.
He further revealed, “Things with Jody and her ex-husband are amicable. There’s no drama,” adding that Jody and Sean are ‘both very family-oriented people.’ For their impulsive wedding, Sean wore casual jeans and a YSL sweater, and Jody sported a black jumpsuit.
Sean and Jody Met Through a Common Friend
The insider talked about how the couple first met and revealed, “Sean and Jody share a best friend, Courtenay Semal, which was the reason why they kept reconnecting over the years. They both have famous families, they just get each other.” He added that the two are ‘so much alike’ and were born just two days apart.
Following the proposal, Sean called his mother Alana, who thought her son was joking at first ‘as he’s known as a bit of a jokester in the family.’ Meanwhile, Rod was on his way to perform at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino when he heard the news. The couple then sent their families the photos and videos of their special day.
“They just went back to the hotel after. It was kind of like, ‘Holy s—, we just got married,’ but they were so so excited and didn’t regret one thing. Their relationship and connection is solid,” said the source. The two celebrated with Rod and Alana on returning to Los Angeles.
The Couple Plans to have a Traditional Summer Wedding
Sean and Jody now plan to celebrate their love with a traditional summer wedding at Marbella Beach Club in Spain, which will be attended by their families and friends. Sean is famous as a streetwear designer, particularly for his line Dirty Weekend.
He starred in the reality series Sons of Hollywood, along with celebrity sons David Weintraub and Randy Spelling. The designer previously dated Audrina Patridge and appeared on the reality show The Hills: New Beginnings as her boyfriend.
