After 17 Seasons, Rachel Ray’s Talk Show Will End
As of the end of the current season of Rachael Ray, the nationally syndicated daytime talk show from CBS Media Ventures will end when it ceases original production after its 17th season.
“In my more than 20 years in television, I have had 17 wonderful seasons working on daytime television with Rachael. However, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career,” he said in a statement that accompanied the announcement.
As daytime syndication becomes more challenging daily, the landscape has significantly changed in the past year. Dr. Phil, Judge Mathis, and The People’s Court are also expected to wrap up this season, while fellow stalwarts such as Ellen DeGeneres, Wendy Williams, Maury, Dr. Oz, and The Real have also ended their runs this year.
Rachael Ray is distributed by CBS Television, which also distributes Dr. Phil, The Doctors, and Daily Mail TV. These two other syndicated shows have ended over the past year, respectively.
Free Food Studios To Be Launched By Rachel Ray And Intentional Content
In addition to launching her production studio, Rachael Ray is expanding her reach. Intentional Content’s Anthony Amoia and Sean Lee have partnered with philanthropist and author Brian Flanagan to launch Free Food Studios.
As a platform for introducing and developing new and upcoming epicurean talent, the studio will produce, own, and distribute “in the kitchen” content created by Ray. In addition, long and short-form content will be developed and made across various platforms.
