Famed YouTube star Hank Green recently revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer. The co-founder of the digital creator convention VidCon disclosed the news of his cancer diagnosis in his latest YouTube video.

YouTube star Hank Green reveals he has cancer
Hank Green shared a health update with his fans in his latest YouTube video titled ‘So, I’ve got cancer.’ In the 13-minute-long video, he told his fans that he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system of the body. In the video, Green stated he has “good news, bad news.” He told the fans lymphoma is the bad news, however, he assured them that it was the most treatable of the lot.
In the YouTube video, Hank said, “Uh, good news, bad news. One, it’s cancer. It’s called lymphoma. It’s the cancer of the lymphatic system. And good news, it’s something called Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It’s the most treatable- like one of the most treatable cancers. It responds very well to treatment, the goal is cure.”
The digital content creator went on to say, “The procedure to get there is fairly well known, if unpleasant. It seems likely that we caught mine early. I’m still waiting on a scan to sort of confirm that.”
Hank Green will not be attending VidCon Anaheim 2023
Hank will be skipping VidCon Anaheim 2023, due to his recent cancer diagnosis. The VidCon confirmed the same by issuing a statement on their official Instagram account.
The post read, “To our Co-Founder, go-to science guy, and only person on the internet who seems to understand where all the candle wax goes: we’re sending all the love from the VidCon community & beyond.”
Celebs came forward to extend support to Hank Green as he revealed his cancer diagnosis
As soon as the news of Hank’s cancer diagnosis came out, many famous YouTubers and stars send their support to him. Popular Irish creator Jacksepticeye took to his Twitter page and wrote, “So sorry to hear Hank! Wishing you all the strength and energy to get through this.”
Karl Jacobs who is a Twitch streamer and YouTuber from MrBeast’s team also sent good energy to Hank. He tweeted, “@hankgreen Hey just wanna say, you got this! Sending good energy for you to get thru this quick and easy.”
