Michelle Yeoh is a Swiss-based Malaysian actress. She was born on August 6, 1962, in Ipoh, Perak, to a Malaysian Chinese family of Hokkien and Cantonese ancestry. At the moment, she is 60 years old.
Yeoh grew up speaking 2 languages: Malay and English. She began learning ballet at the young age of 4. Back in the day, she attended Main Convent Ipoh, an all-girls secondary school.
Michelle and her family shifted to the United States when she was 15 years old. Then, she studied at an all-girls boarding school. Later on, she majored in ballet at the UK’s Royal Academy of Dance in London. She had to quit ballet after a spinal injury.
Then, Yeoh switched her attention to choreography and other arts. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in creative arts with a minor in drama in 1982. In the year 1983, she was crowned Miss Malaysia World. She even represented Malaysia at the Miss World 1983 contest in London. She ended her run in the beauty pageant at the 18th spot.
