Late Actor Ray Liotta’s Facebook Account Hacked, Death Hoaxes and NSFW Content Posted

March 26, 2023 by Bunny Baba

Ten months after the death of Ray Liotta, the actor’s Facebook account has been hacked. Since last week, a number of questionable posts have appeared on the late actor’s page concerning fans around the world. Liotta’s team is now working on getting his account fixed and is coordinating with Facebook.

A few days ago, a representative for the team told the media that the account had been recovered. However, just a few hours later, an NSFW link was posted by the hacker again. Read on to know more about the development.

Ray Liotta’s Facebook Account Hacked Ten Months After his Death

A number of fans noticed suspicious activity on Liotta’s Facebook page as it posted a number of inappropriate things, including fake stories and celebrity death hoaxes involving the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The late actor’s management team then got in contact with Facebook and announced that the issue had been resolved. The objectionable content was then removed; however, another post promoting a porn scene went up on the page soon after and was removed.

While the account is no longer posting strange posts, the person behind the hacking still remains unidentified. The motive behind the hacking also remains clear. Meanwhile, despite the continuous breach of security, Liotta’s team said that Facebook was ‘an amazing partner in resolving the issue.’

Fans Disgusted with the Hacking

Several fans have taken to social media to express their disgust over the usage of the late actor’s account to promote fake stories and hoaxes. A number of Twitter users have now called out the hacker, questioning their intentions.

“I wish the guy who took over Ray Liotta’s Facebook page either remove himself OR dissociate Ray Liotta out of it and rename it to something else. These posts do so much disservice to his memory. Because it is filled with so much junk and nonsense. Ray himself would dislike these!” wrote a fan.

“This is so f***ed up. Whoever is doing this, karma is coming for you big time,” another fan tweeted, and one wrote, “Why?  Like what is the logical purpose of such an action? -ONE.??? I read this and the shock of his death hit again.”

Ray Liotta Died in his Sleep in May 2022

The Goodfellas actor was shooting for his forthcoming film Dangerous Waters in the Dominican Republic when he suddenly passed away in his sleep in May last year. He was 67 years old at the time of his death.

Jacy Nittolo, who was engaged to the actor, announced his death with a heartfelt note. “My life these past couple of years have been nothing but truly magical. Ray and I share a deep love that I will cherish in my heart forever. We laughed daily and we were inseparable,” she wrote.

“The chemistry was wild in the best way. He was everything in the world to me and we couldn’t get enough of each other. The kind of real love that one dreams of. He was the most beautiful person inside and out that I’ve ever known…and even that is an understatement,” Nittolo continued.
