It has also been stated that Amber’s scenes which were previously reduced to a minimal amount will now be entirely cut out from the forthcoming movie. We might be seeing another actress taking up the role of Mera in the hit franchise.
Heard’s character in the movie series caught the attention of the viewers during her defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp. The fans even started a petition to get Amber off the DC movie franchise and it received more than 3 million signatures.
While fighting her legal battle in court against her ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber went on to say that she did not know for certain if she might be cut out of the movie’s final cut or not.

In his testimony in the case, the head of the DC films operations at Warner Bros. Walter Hamada clarified that they had given a thought to replacing Amber a couple of times before.
While on the stand, Walter stated that the main leads of the forthcoming movie, Jason Momoa and Amber Heard had little to no chemistry together. As a result of which, the studio considered the possibility of replacing the actress. Up until now, the studio has not made any official comment on the matter.
