The most awaited awards night of the year is just around the corner! The 95th Academy Awards, or the Oscars, are being held this weekend to celebrate the best films and performances of the last year.
The much-awaited event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the third time after his stints in 2017 and 2018. The ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. If you are wondering how you can watch the Oscars 2023 with or without cable, we have got you covered.
How to Watch the Oscars 2023?
The Oscars 2023 are going to be held on Sunday, March 12, at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. The wards will be aired live on ABC, so you can tune into your local ABC affiliate at the scheduled time to watch the star-studded ceremony. You can also watch the awards online through the ABC app or at abc.com by logging in with your cable credentials.
If you do not have access to cable, you can watch the awards by streaming ABC on a live-TV streaming platform. There are a number of apps available, including YouTubeTV, FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, AT&T TV, and Sling TV, which offer ABC after subscription. Some of these platforms also offer free trials for the first few days.
How to Watch the Oscars 2023 Red Carpet?
The awards ceremony will be preceded by a live red carpet-event. On the Red Carpet Live! Countdown to Oscars 95 will be streaming on the ABC News Live website at 1 pm ET / 10 am PT. The event will be hosted by ABC anchors Linsey Davis and Whit Johnson.
Then there will be the Countdown to the Oscars lead-in, hosted by Ashley Graham, Vanessa Hudgens, and Lilly Singh at 6:30 pm ET / 3:30 pm PT on ABC. E! will also be airing the Live From the Red Carpet event at 1 pm ET / 10 am PT with host Laverne Cox.
Who will be Performing at the Oscars 2023?
Rihanna will be taking the after her scintillating performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. The pop star will perform her track Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is in the race for the Best Original Song award.
Other nominated songs will also be performed at the ceremony, including This Is a Life from Everything Everywhere All at Once, Naatu Naatu from RRR and Applause from Tell It like a Woman.
The list of presenters has also been confirmed by the Academy, and it includes some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Dwayne Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, Andrew Garfield, Mindy Kaling, Elizabeth Olsen, Danai Gurira, Hugh Grant, Janelle Monáe, Kate Hudson, Troy Kotsur and Antonio Banderas.
Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Samuel L. Jackson, Zoe Saldaña, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Dano, Florence Pugh, Jennifer Connelly, Jonathan Majors, John Travolta, Cara Delevingne, Michael B. Jordan, Deepika Padukone, Glenn Close, Salma Hayek Pinault, Jessica Chastain, Donnie Yen, Eva Longoria, John Cho, Halle Bailey, Emily Blunt, Andie MacDowell and Questlove will also be presenting.
