Michael B. Jordan has returned as boxer Adonis “Donnie” Creed in Creed III, the ninth film in the Rocky franchise. The film will have many ‘firsts’ as it will mark the directorial debut of Jordan and will also be the first installment that will not feature Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character, Rocky Balboa.
Creed III follows Donnie facing off against his childhood friend and former boxing prodigy Damian. Fans of the sports drama franchise are now eager to watch the new adventure of their favorite boxer. Here we are explaining how you can watch the film, including theatrical and streaming options.
How to Watch Creed III?
Creed III has arrived in cinemas on March 3, 2023. The film is currently playing exclusively in theaters and is not available for streaming. Apart from normal screenings, Creed III has also been released in IMAX, becoming the first sports-based film to be shot in the format.
You can grab tickets for the shows of your preferred time from the official websites of major national chains, including AMC, Regal, and Cinemark. Tickets can also be bought physically at your local cinemas.
Considering the huge fan base of the franchise, you might want to book your tickets in advance if you want to catch the film during the initial days of its release. Creed III was initially scheduled to release in November 2022, following in the footsteps of the first two films in the trilogy, which also came out in November. However, the release date was later pushed to March 2023.
When will Creed III be Available on Streaming Platforms?
The streaming release date for the film has not been announced yet. Creed III has been produced by MGM and distributed by United Artists, both of which are owned by Amazon. So the film is expected to be available on Amazon Prime Video in the upcoming months.
The streaming platform usually makes a film available around 45 to 60 days after its theatrical release. Since Creed III was released in theaters on March 3, it is expected to be dropped on Prime Video by mid-April or early May this year.
