Hayden Panettiere’s Brother Jansen Passes Away at 28
Law enforcement agencies have revealed that Jansen died at his home in upstate New York on Sunday. “We responded to a call on February 19, 2023, at 5:03pm. Our detectives are currently continuing an investigation from that response, and we cannot provide further information at this time,” the New York police stated.
While the official cause of death has not been made public yet, police have said that they do not suspect any foul play. Jansen, who was an artist as well, posted a picture of his artwork with his friend on Instagram just two days before his death. His art pieces were well appreciated by his 11.8 thousand social media followers.
Jansen Made his Television Debut in 2002
Jansen started his career with an episode of Disney Channel’s Even Stevens in 2002. He went on to appear in Hope & Faith and Third Watch in 2003. Jansen starred with his sibling Hayden in two productions, one of which was The Forger and the other was Racing Stripes, where he lent his voice to the character of Young Stripes.
In 2007, Jansen played the role of Lucas Malloy in the television movie The Last Day of Summe. In 2009, he acted alongside Gavin MacLeod in The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry. The film, directed by Rich Christiano, explored themes of faith and friendship.
Hayden performed in Dustin Lance Black’s play 8 in 2012 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, playing the role of Elliott Perry alongside Martin Sheen, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Christine Lahti. The play was a reenactment of the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial, and it was broadcast on YouTube to raise money for the American Foundation for Equal Rights.
In recent years, Jansen appeared as a guest star on the AMC show The Walking Dead and MTV’s How High 2. He also acted in the 2015 films The Martial Arts Kid and Summer Forever. At the time of his death in February 2023, he was said to be linked to four forthcoming projects.
