Congratulations are in order for Grace Gummer as the actress has become a mother. She welcomed her first baby with her husband, Mark Ronson, recently. The couple revealed their pregnancy in October last year.
The news of their baby’s birth was revealed when the couple was seen on a walk with their little munchkin in New York City on Sunday. Gummer, 36, is a Theatre World Award-winning actress, and Ronson, 47, is a British DJ and songwriter.
Grace Gummer Welcomes First Child with Husband Mark Ronson
On March 12, Gummed and Ronson stepped out for a walk around the West Side Highway in NYC and were seen carrying their newborn with them. The DJ kept the infant strapped to his chest by buttoning him to his coat. Meanwhile, Gummer held the leash of their dog while wearing a brown jacket and a beanie.
The actress revealed her pregnancy in October last year by flaunting her baby bump at W Magazine’s party in New York City. At the time, she stepped into the 50th-anniversary party, rocking a red sweater dress with a matching overcoat. She was accompanied by her husband to the event, who sported a beige suit.
The Couple Tied the Knot in August 2021
Gummer and Ronson started dating in 2020, got engaged in June 2021 and tied the knot in August of the same year. The songwriter had announced the news to the world with an adorable post on social media. “To my truest love… out of nowhere, you made 45 hands down the greatest year of my life,” he wrote, sharing a monochrome photo with his wife.
“And i’m sure it took me 45 years to become the man worthy of your love. I hope I spend every one of these birthdays by your side til my last day. And beyond. Forever and ever yours (and yes, we got married),” he added.
The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary with a romantic getaway in August 2022. Ronson shared the photos from the trip on Instagram and wrote, “When people used to tell me their spouse was their best friend, I thought they were spouting Hallmark nonsense or that they were some freak anomaly of love.”
“So now I guess I’m either someone who spouts Hallmark nonsense or I’m a freak anomaly of love. Or maybe I just married the most incredible human being around. Happy anniversary to my darlingest, you’ve made me happy beyond my wildest,” he continued.
Grace Gummer was Last Seen in Showtime’s Let the Right One In
Gummer, who is the daughter of legendary actress Meryl Streep, has been doing pretty well on the professional front as well. She was one of the main cast members in Showtime’s horror drama Let the Right One In last year. She is also a well-known name on Broadway and won a Theatre World Award for her debut in the 2011 revival of Arcadia.
The actress has also appeared in the TV shows Mr. Robot, American Horror Story: Freak Show, Zero Hour, Gigantic, Extant and Good Girls Revolt. Before falling for Ronson, she was married to Tray Strathairn for a year.
