Congratulations are in order for Janai Norman as the television host is going to be a mother once again. The Good Morning America co-anchor has revealed that she is expecting her third baby with her husband.
Norman also revealed that interestingly, some viewers got to know about her pregnancy even before her just by looking at her recent pictures. The ABC anchor is already a mother to a 5-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter.
Janai Norman Expecting Third Child with Husband
The 33-year-old announced the exciting news in a recent interview and stated that she is 10 weeks pregnant. She will be welcoming her third baby by the end of the year. “I’ve been manifesting this. I’ve been very open about wanting to have a third,” Norman said.
“Just before I found out I told friends at lunch ‘I really feel like things are starting to clear out to allow me to welcome the blessing,’” she continued. Talking about how she wasn’t the first one to know about her pregnancy, she said, “The Saturday before I found out there were two different viewers who commented in places and were like Hey, is Janai pregnant?”
“And even that day that I found out I posted a picture that said ‘Caption this’ and somebody said ‘Surprise pregnancy.’ I don’t know what it is but some viewers just know, so I’m excited to confirm,” Norman further stated.
Norman has Kept the Names of Her Kids Private Till Now
The host welcomed her son in 2017, followed by her daughter two years later. However, she likes to keep her personal life to herself and has kept her children out of public sight. Neither the names of her kids nor of her husband have been unveiled by the anchor till now.
“I chose to be in front of the camera, they have not., It’s about consent. But at the same time, my journey through motherhood is so near and dear to me and essential to who I am. I want to share my journey, but be respectful to them and their privacy,” said the journalist.
Norman, did, however, disclose that she gave birth to both of her children at home in the presence of midwives. “It went so well and was so beautiful. I was determined to do it again with my daughter and had an incredible water birth during the pandemic. People would look at me crazy when I told them it was magical. It truly was,” she added.
The Journalist Got Married in 2018
Norman met her husband through a dating app a few years ago. The two soon fell in love and tied the knot in May 2018. Recalling her first encounter with her husband, the anchor said, “I was a reporter in Orlando working the morning shift. I had to be in at 2:30 in the morning, so there was no way I was going to meet people.”
“He was my second date. I was like, if this one doesn’t work out I’m getting off this app!” When asked how her husband feels about her third pregnancy, Norman said, “He’s excited. It’s fun watching our family grow together.”
