Britney Spears seems to be keeping an open heart after the singer reunited with her mother, Lynne Spears after years. The Princess of Pop’s mother was seen visiting her daughter’s private residence after arriving at LAX International Airport Wednesday. Since her conservatorship years, Spears has maintained her distance from her family.
Britney Spears Reunites With Her Mother
Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne Spears have finally reunited for a mother-daughter meeting after an ongoing feud. The singer’s mother was seen visiting her daughter’s manager Cade Hudson’s home, and then Sam Asghari and Britney Spear’s private residence. Lynne arrived at the LAX International Airport Wednesday morning.
According to multiple publications, Lynne took an Uber from Cade’s place to Britney’s for the visit, and Britney was then seen taking a drive with her in a white Mercedes Benz after a roughly 30-minute meeting. It was also reported that Mama Lynne is “committed to making it right with her daughter.”
In 2020, after losing custody of her two kids, Britney Spears found some solace after her mother’s visit as revealed by a source, who claimed that “Brit really needed her mom. So Lynne flew out and they met.”
Britney Spears’s Broken Relationship With Parents
In October 2022, the “Hold Me Closer” singer claimed in an Instagram post that her mother, Lynne Spears, once slapped her “so hard” for staying out late while Lynne took care of her two sons.
She expressed: “The first time I ever got slapped was the one night Paris [Hilton] and Lindsay [Lohan] dropped me off at my beach house with my babies.” She also posted a clip of Jennifer Lopez slapping Jane Fonda in the 2005 comedy “Monster-in-Law.”
She continued, “My mother was watching Jayden and Preston … yes I partied till like 4 am and my mother was PISSED !!!! I walked in she looked at me and slapped me so hard that I will never forget it !!!” The incident occurred after Britney was left by her ex-husband Kevin Federline, who criticized her parenting.
She was put under a conservatorship period of over 14 years, which was terminated in November 2021. Britney has been extremely vocal about her conservatorship years. In 2022, the singer broke out about her conservatorship period.
By posting several screenshots from her notes app on her social media, the “Toxic” singer revealed that she was treated like a dog by her father Jamie during the 13-year conservatorship.
At one point, the “Gimme More” singer added, that her father body-shamed her and told her that she was too fat. She mentioned, “he was never a father to me because he was always drunk.
