Laguna – A strange cellphone picture is making rounds and creating buzz in Victoria, Laguna. The said photo includes an alleged alien which was at least 10 times seen and caught on camera by Barangay Kagawad Nestor Jaurige, while cleaning an area in Barangay San Roque. He claims that he was surprised to see a little unidentifiable creature when he reviewed the pictures. But the residents are not at all worried. When asked about the shots, they said it may have been just manipulated by someone else.
The locals claim that after the “alien” encounter, they did not notice or experience anything out of the ordinary in their barangay.
To verify the accuracy of the video, the allegedly alien photograph was forwarded to a qualified graphic artist. With today’s technology, it’s easy to assume at first glance that it’s just a picture modification that can be done with photo editing software. Bryan Vallesteros, a graphic artist, claims that there are apps available now that allow one to add an extraterrestrial to a picture.
Vallesteros also added, for this snapshot to be authentic, you should check that the lighting of the creature should be consistent to the lighting of the background. At which case, in the said photo, is not. The alien is a little dark and its shadow seems to be too dense at the bottom.
There have been recorded cases of alien sightings in the Philippines in the previous years. First, there’s was the 1993 Las Piñas UFO incident wherein 3 high school students of Perpetual Help College of Rizal were playing basketball when one of them saw a silver-like disk floating in the air. It eventually disappeared after a few minutes.
In 2000, another incident in Las Piñas drew criticism from PAGASA Investigation Team when Tony Israel released a video footage of what he believed to be an Unidentified Flying Object. Then, in 2004, Israel’s name was dragged again by yet another phenomenal sightings when 3 of his neighbors saw “several reddish-metallic glares flying across the partly cloudy skies”
Dr. Jean Chu of United Nations nor the Philippine Weather Bureau was able to draw assumptions on this occurrences. But based on initial investigations, it seem to yield on a possible fabrication.
In 2011, 2 UFOs were seen in Bulacan and immediately disappeared. Then, after a few weeks, people claimed to see a couple of UFO’s in the middle of the night. According to them, it looks like a big basketball. One light coming from the east, the other from the west. The 2 flying objects collided until it disappeared.
Another incident occurred last year when a couple snapped a picture of their son and afterwards discovered a tiny creature next to him. They claimed that when they snapped their camera, the alien was not present.
Even with all the information available on the causes of these phenomena, some of the cases are still unresolved.
