The Residency Began in November 2022
Weekends With Adele shows have been organized almost every weekend since November 2022 and have met with a thunderous response from the audience. The residency is also known for featuring the singer’s candid talks between her performances.
During one of the shows, Adele talked about her divorce and the therapy she underwent after it. “I started having therapy again because I went a few years without it. I needed to start. Before, obviously, when I was going through my divorce I was basically having, like, five therapy sessions a day,” the Easy on Me singer told the audience.
“But I stopped holding myself accountable for my own behavior and the things I would say and it’s because I would always fall back on my therapist. But now I am doing it because I just want to make sure I’m topping myself up every week to make sure I can give you everything,” she added.
In another show, revealed her knee issues and said, “Is anyone else kind of my age starting getting bad knees? I have got really bad sciatica in my left leg, and my L5 disc is not fucking there anymore. It’s worn away.”
